Josh Baltzell

Mr. Baltzell is a managing director of Split Rock Partners, a large venture fund in the Bay Area.  Prior to that, he worked in several different medical device companies, including SCIMED / Boston Scientific, and also as an investment banker with Piper Jaffrey.

Tim Jenkinson, DPhil

Professor Jenkinson is Professor of Finance at the Said Business School of the University of Oxford. He is director of Oxford Finance and the Oxford Private Equity Institute. He also is a director of various companies, including Oxera, Verivox Group, PSource Structured Debt. He is a Professorial Fellow of Keble College, Oxford.

Dinesh Patel, PhD

Dr. Patel is the managing partner of VSpring Capital, a venture firm in Utah. He was the founding CEO of TheraTech, Salus Therapeutics and Ashni Naturaceuticals. He has been considered by many as the father of biotechnology and pharmaceutical in the Mountain West region.

Gene Peterson, MD, PhD

Dr. Peterson is Professor of Anesthesiology and Associate Medical Director at the University of Washington Medical Center. He is a recognized expert in health care delivery and quality. He holds a PhD in chemical physics and was a Marshall Scholar.

Nelson Teng, MD, PhD, FACS, FACOG

Dr. Teng is a managing partner of Charter Life Sciences Venture, a biomedical venture fund in the Bay Area. He is also a professor and chief of gynecologic oncology at Stanford University. He is author of multiple scientific papers and holds several patents in the biomedical area. He is a founder of 6 biomedical companies, including Adeza Biomedical, Univax Biologics, and Vesta.

Dr. David Vaux

Dr. Vaux is Reader in Cellular Biology at the Sir William Dunn School of Pathology, University of Oxford, and a Fellow of Lincoln College, Oxford. He teaches cell and molecular biology and also IP/commercialization at the Dunn School. He was with the startup Synaptica, Ltd.

Marc Ventresca, PhD

Dr. Ventresca is a University Lecturer at the Said Business School of the University of Oxford. He is an expert in strategy, technology innovation, social entrepreneurship and social innovation. He is affiliated with Stanford and multiple global universities and organizations and is a Fellow of Wolfson College, Oxford.
